About this place Melrose Diner

Melrose Diner, open 24/7 in Chicago's Boystown, is the place for comfort food no matter when the craving hits.

You'll find it right in the middle of Boystown, a neighborhood that's long been a hub for Chicago's LGBTQ+ community. That means the Melrose is perfectly placed for anyone looking for a meal after a late night out, or just a casual breakfast when the rest of the city is still asleep.

The food here is exactly what you want from a diner: hearty, straightforward, and served without pretense. It’s got a different energy depending on the hour. At 3 AM, it's a haven for the post-bar crowd, where a plate of something greasy feels like a revelation. By morning, it's a quieter spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch, with the same menu but a calmer pace.

It’s an easygoing spot, the kind of place where you don’t have to think too hard. Just good, old-fashioned diner food, served by friendly staff, in a part of town that embraces everyone. You can find them at 3233 North Broadway.

A 24-7 restaurant. Lovely pancakes, fresh orange juice, chickpea soup, tuna melt and more. Lovely seats by the window.
