Women & Children First

The bookstore itself is okay but the environment they are in is not conducive to take children to. When we went to the bookstore a few weeks ago, there was an aggressive and threatening homeless guy camped out on the corner. We have seen him before camped out on that corner just outside the entrance of Women's & Children's First entrance, but this time he was especially verbally abusive and aggressive. Children were totally spooked out. In addition, there was feces and urine all over the sidewalk. Not an encouraging environment in which to bring children. Until that corner is cleaned up, I would advise customers to shop for their books elsewhere, as we have done. It is a shame we have had to go to another neighborhood for our book purchases but, under the circumstances, we have had no other choice.

I buy 90% of my books from here! Consistently having amazing experiences each time I shop!! I’ve been able to get my hands of so much of my fave feminist lit here too :)

I wanted to spend hours in here, great selection of books & appreciated that they have specific sections for queer lit & romance, which makes it so much easier to find what I'm looking for

Lovely little bookstore, owners are fantastic and they also host an adorable Story Time on Wednesdays if you have little ones. Went with my girlfriend and her young son, had the best time (suggested donation $3-5). Recommend, neighborhood staple. Always clean and polite.

Welcoming neighborhood bookstore in Andersonville. Diverse selection of books for adults and children. Popular author events on site. Free parking in rear of building. Easy access via public transportation.

Amazing collection

A wonderful hub in the community, celebrating many different kinds of writers and artists. I’m incapable of leaving without finding something new. Love the mini print vending machine from Inciardi Prints!
