About this place Casa Ocotillo

Casa Ocotillo is a small luxury vacation home in Palm Springs, California, for gay men who want something more intimate than a hotel. It’s at 240 Ocotillo Avenue, and it’s a good alternative to the usual hotel stay, especially if you’re after privacy, a bit of personal service, and generally a more relaxed scene than you’d find at bigger places. Palm Springs has always pulled in LGBTQ+ travelers, and homes like this are popular for the flexibility and sense of community they offer. Forget the busy lobby and standard hotel stuff. Here, you get the comfort of a private home where you can actually unwind. If you’re traveling alone, with a partner, or with friends, a small luxury rental lets you do Palm Springs on your own terms. It’s a good setup for hitting up the desert, the shops, and the restaurants, then coming back to a comfortable, private spot. For details on what’s included, or to book, contact them directly.

Great little resort property for a short stay in Palm Springs. Rooms are smallish and each privately owned. Enjoyed the giant swimming pool.

I lived here, and there's no security. I was harassed by a couple who sent thugs after me. That's why I moved here, thinking I'd be safe. But I wasn't. When I called the police to report it, they wouldn't let me access the security cameras and wanted me to install my own. They broke into my apartment, hacked the internet, and kept pausing the camera's internet so it never recorded anything. And nobody helped me—not the Ocotillo Lodge, not the police, nobody. I'm so disappointed with the harassment in this country. USA 🇺🇸

Full of amenities, next to ace hotel, gym, pool, spa, laundry in on the property. The unit I stayed in was super comfy, wide lounge couch, tv, comfy bed.i guess you need to pick one that’s made to be cozy.

Unit 336 at Ocotillo Lodge, late 2024, one week stay: Pros: • Quiet, secure property with lots of available parking • Large patio in this unit with morning sun exposure • Short walk to a large Ralphs grocery store • Small fitness facility on site which I was typically the only person using Cons: • The HVAC unit is noisy and we found it too loud to sleep with it running • Poorly designed bathroom: very little counter space, one of those huge showerheads that can only shoot the water directly down on top of your head so it is difficult to shower if you don’t want to get your hair wet, and I was never able to get the water to run hot in the bathroom faucets. • It took a minute or so to get hot water out of the other faucets and the shower. • Bare concrete floors – maybe a personal peeve but I find concrete feels cold and gritty on the feet.
