This queer cafe-bar in Berlin's Kreuzberg neighborhood opened in late 2008. It's run by lesbian owners, and it's a good place to hang out for a few hours, day or night, for LGBTQ+ people and allies.
Over the years, the spot leaned into its cafe vibe. They do vegetarian and vegan food, cakes, and all sorts of drinks. Women, men, everyone in between—they’re all welcome. It feels like a real community place.
The look of the place pulls from 1950s design. It’s got a stylish, nostalgic feel that sets it apart from a lot of other Berlin gay bars. You'll find it between Heinrichplatz and Mariannenplatz. Grab a coffee, meet friends for lunch, or just have drinks at night. The inside is smoke-free, and there’s outdoor seating too, which is nice when the weather’s good.
If you're checking out Berlin's queer scene, this cafe-bar is what it's all about. It's unpretentious, welcoming, and really part of the neighborhood. Come here to get a feel for everyday queer life in the city, not just the bars, and maybe even meet some local Berliners.
