Best Gay-Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas

Choosing where to stay in Las Vegas as a gay traveler means a real trade-off. Strip hotels put you smack in the middle of casino entertainment, pool parties, and shows — but you're at least a 5-10 minute rideshare from the Fruit Loop bar scene. Hotels near Paradise Road and the Fruit Loop cut that commute to almost nothing but distance you from the Strip spectacle. Neither choice is wrong; it just depends on why you're visiting.

Pricing is one of Las Vegas's more confusing features for first-time visitors. A room that costs $85 on a Monday can cost $350 or more on a Saturday or during a major convention. Check what events are in town during your visit before booking — the city fills during CES in January, major boxing and UFC events, and LGBTQ+ circuit weekends in spring.

Strip Hotels

The major Strip resort hotels are individually massive operations with multiple pools, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment. Several have specific reputations among gay visitors for either their general atmosphere or specific events they host. The Cosmopolitan, Aria, and the Wynn have all been mentioned consistently by gay travelers as feeling comfortable and welcoming. These aren't gay hotels — they're mainstream megahotels that attract a mixed crowd, including a significant LGBTQ+ visitor base.

For gay pool parties specifically, a few Strip properties host LGBTQ+-targeted events in spring and summer. These are separately booked and advertised in advance. Check current hotel programming rather than assuming any specific party is still running.

Near the Fruit Loop

Staying on or near Paradise Road means shorter nights when you're bar-hopping — you can walk back to your hotel at 4am instead of calling a rideshare. The tradeoff is being further from the Strip attractions. Mid-range hotels in this corridor usually cost less than comparable Strip properties.

Bally's Las Vegas

On the Strip, this landmark casino hotel is 4.7 miles from downtown Las Vegas. Upscale rooms have WiFi (fee), desks and cable TVs; some have seating areas, fridges and/or Strip views. Standard modern rooms have custom artwork and marble bathrooms with soaking tubs; lavish suites and villas come with private elevator access, living rooms and butler service. A resort fee includes WiFi and fitness center access.

Perks include a custom-built showroom featuring Cirque du Soleil performances.

Caesars Palace Las Vegas

This classic, Roman-themed casino hotel is on the west side of the Strip between the Bellagio and the Mirage.
