About this place Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel

Located at 235 W 46th Street in the Paramount Hotel, this Midtown Manhattan venue occupies a storied space in New York City's entertainment history. Originally opened in 1938 by theatrical impresario Billy Rose, the location was legendary for its dinner theater productions, vaudeville-style performances, and elaborate shows. After a hiatus, the 6,000 square foot venue was thoughtfully restored in 2013, bringing back this iconic space to the city's nightlife scene under new ownership and management. As a gay bar and club in the heart of Times Square, this venue taps into New York's rich tradition of theatrical entertainment and LGBTQ+ nightlife. The space combines its historic roots with contemporary hospitality, creating a venue that appeals to those interested in New York's entertainment legacy. The theatrical DNA of the location means visitors can expect a venue with character and sophistication, reflecting the neighborhood's connection to Broadway and performance culture. Whether you're a visitor to New York or a local looking to experience a piece of the city's nightlife history, this establishment offers a unique setting in one of Manhattan's most vibrant areas. Very small rooms and bathroom . Old elevators . No water bottle or cattle or microwave in room . Life is tough when you stay here .

I loved this place, it's super well located. Close to the metro, excellent area. The show on weekends is highly recommended.

Had such a wonderful time and such a great stay! The lobby is stunning in the room served its purpose perfectly. It’s a one minute walk from Times Square which is really convenient. And the front desk ladies were a joy!! we ended up making a great relationship with Whitney and Janet, they treated us like family which really stood out and made the experience so memorable!!! Would 100% go back.

We stayed here during a very busy time in NYC so we know we paid far too much for what we got. Having said that - we expected at 300+ a night our room would be clean, it was not. The lobby is inviting and interesting - that's where it ends. The rooms are in need of a makeover but we already knew this going in. They are basic. However, if they were taken care of properly I would be fine with basic. You know that feeling when you enter your hotel and you just know it's yucky? Not overwhelmingly so but you know you just didn't get what you paid for? That was me. We had no wash clothes, dirty pillows, hairs were all over the room which weren't ours & honestly it just needs some refreshing. After finding the filthy pillow I sat it outside in the morning but nobody replaced it. I went to the front desk and asked them for a new pillow and some watch clothes. Reception asked me for my room number twice and assured me they would be delivered - they never were. If you indeed want to be that close to times square (we did not but we had no choice) then find something special and further away from the insanity or if you like that kind of thing stay here but ONLY if the rate is well under 200! It just is not worth it. There are better options which are CLEANER.
