Hotspot Description:
The Duke of Wellington public house has sat on the same site since around 1842. We serve a wide range of real ales, beers, ciders, and carefully selected wines, while hosting the most exciting and delicious culinary pop-ups.
We are delighted to announce that, from March 2016, Yolk will be taking up residency in our kitchen. Yolk describe themselves as a modern British diner, serving simple dishes, lovingly executed, with their own unique twist. Yolk first started from a desire to create the ultimate Eggs Benedict, and that same instinct to test, refine and innovate informs their menu at the Duke. They are obsessive about their food, and the results are superb.
Keep an eye open too for our regular events, including comedy, film screenings, live music, poetry and short story reading, beer festivals and more. Our back room is available to hire for your private functions. So if you have a birthday, christening or simply a long-overdue get together with friends then give us a call to discuss your plans.
