ATLANTIS PMR will be celebrating their second anniversary at the Centro Comercial Shopping Centre on the 15th September 2017 ATLANTIS PMR have chosen ADIMI as their selected charity for the year . ADIMI is a centre to help mentally and phyiscally disabled children and adults. The centre does tremendous work and have recently opened a new centre in Mijas Golf. ATLANTIS PMR have asked the children from the centre to paint images of the COSTA DEL SOL with the theme DIVERSITY. Additionally other artists and collaborators will be celebrating with us to celebrate our second year. We are looking for prizes to present to the children who will be exhibiting their works. Day 1: Arrival in Lima Transfer from airport. Night at hotel Meals: dinner at hotel Day 2: Lima City tour Visit to “Pucllana Pyramid” the Historical Center of Lima with more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others, San Francisco Convent. Gold Museum Tour This spectacular and unique museum is dedicated to Metallurgy. It has a collection of eight thousand pieces, made by goldsmiths of ancient times, as a tribute to the pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures in its various manifestations. In this museum we can find a variety of artifacts such as precious metals gold and silver, multiple textiles, ceramics, mummies, trophy heads and other valuables of the time as the replica of the lord of Sipan, which is our Tutankhamun (Egyptian King) Through the study of these objects, it has been possible to learn about the process of metallurgy and textile elaboration, cultural believes and society organization. Gold and silver was represented as a magical and religious symbol in Peruvian cultures. In pre incas these metals represented a constant duality sun-moon, day - night, male-female. Night at hotel in Lima Meals: breakfast, dinner Day 3: Lima to Arequipa At appropriate time, transfer from hotel in Lima to the airport. Arrival in Arequipa Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel in Arequipa. After check-in at the hotel, you will have free morning for shopping in the city. Arequipa City tour Visit the monastery of Santa Catalina, then we will visit the Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in Peru, the Jesuit Church of the Company, which in its beautiful façade announces the so-called mestizo architecture, its cloisters and dome, the Tristan del Pozo house and at the end and for a magnificent view From the city we will visit the typical districts of Carmen alto and Yanahuara. (Mirador and Church). Night at hotel in Arequipa Meals: breakfast, dinner Day 4: Arequipa to Colca Canyon to Puno We leave Arequipa between 2:30-3:00am, will drive for 3 hours northwest behind the Chachani to Chivay, capital of the Colca Canyon. Where we will have breakfast. We continue driving for 2 hours at the most famous spot in the Colca Canyon "La Cruz del Condor". This is where we see the depth of the canyon and the flight of the Condor. The area has beautiful typical villages like Yanque and Maca, colonial churches, friendly people with dresses and hats with typical sewing, and hundreds of pre-Inca terraces that are still in use with Andean crops such as corn, quinoa and amaranth. Already in Chivay at noon there is an optional visit to the hot springs of La Calera, with pools that have a water temperature of 40 ° C / 104 ° F. Once in Chivay we will have a traditional lunch and after lunch we will travel to back to Arequipa. We stop on the way, on the highest step: the viewpoint of the volcanoes and snow-capped mountains in Patapampa (4,800m). Later we will see wild vicunas, alpacas and llamas in the national reserve of Pampa Cañahuas and some birds like flamingos, ibis, Andean geese, ducks and eagles Andean Quechua called "Kara Kara". Then we will continue our trip to the city of Puno, passing amazing sceneries from the mountain! We will arrival in Puno around 6pm Overnight in Puno Meals: breakfast, dinner Day 5: Lake Titicaca Uros Floating Island & Taquile Our tour begins with pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am to go to the port of Puno. Then we take a trip by boat for 2 hours at Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of Uros. These inhabitants of the lake are known as the Water Tribe, they have built their own islands by periodically adding new layers of a unique species of sugarcane in the area called "Totora". Their homes and boats are also made from these materials. After visiting the natives continue our trip to Taquile Island, inhabited by locals who speak Quechua and have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as good hand weaving techniques. On reaching the village of Taquile we will have a typical lunch. Then we walk through the hills and archaeological sites of this 6km Island. In the afternoon, we return to Puno by boat. Overnight in Puno Meals: Breakfast, dinner Day 6: Sillustani + Boat tour to Umayo Island After a 45 -minute bus ride through the highlands we arrive at Cacsi Community on the shores of the Umayo Lagoon and then are transported in row boats by Taft fishermen. Visit Umayo Island, it is a natural reserve where wild vicunas can be observed. Then we paddle towards the mainland and visit Sillustani an ancient cemetery located on a mesa. Guided tour of the site, observe huge burial towers (Chullpas) of the Pre-Inca and Incan times, with the back drop of a spectacular scenery. Be amazed by the degree of perfection of the ancient architecture. After contemplating this magical site return to Puno visiting a traditional country house and learn aspects of daily life from up close enjoy of a typical lunch based on native products. Then return to Puno. In the afternoon, transfer to the bus station for your night bus from Puno to Cusco. The drive takes around 7 hours and you will have service on board. Day 7: Arrival in Cusco Upon arrival in Cusco, reception at the bus station and transfer to upscale hotel in the city center. Cusco City tour In the afternoon around 1:10 pm pick up from your hotel to Cusco City Tour. The tour will begin visiting the Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. And return around 7:00 pm The evening will be free to rest and acclimatize to the altitude or you can enjoy every night from 19:00 to 20:30 beautiful typical of the region in the Qosqo Native Art Center Night in Cusco Day 8: Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu Pick up from your hotel in Cusco in the morning. We will take you to the train station where the Executive embark on this extraordinary train ride to Machu Picchu where you will have beautiful views and e include refreshments. The train passes through beautiful ecosystems then have your camera ready to take pictures. Approximately four hours after his departure from Cusco will arrive at the train station in Aguas Calientes (the town located at the bottom of Machu Picchu). Your expert guide will be waiting at the station. Together we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu that lasts 25 minutes. Arriving at Machu Picchu, you will enter the site (do not forget to have your passport stamped!) And your guide will give you a tour of the citadel for 2-3 hours. In the afternoon return to Cusco by train, four hours after leaving, you will come to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
