Exeter Pride, which is one of the liveliest and popular lgbtq+Q+ events in the South West of England is held annually in the historic city of Exeter. The festivities usually take place in May. Span a whole week offering a range of activities, parties and events that aim to foster diversity, acceptance and understanding within the lgbtq+Q+ community. The ultimate goal is to create an safe space where people can come together while also raising awareness about lgbtq+Q+ issues and showcasing local talent.

The highlight of Exeter Pride is undoubtedly the Pride Parade. Participants from organizations, businesses and individuals gather at Sidwell Street before marching through the city center adorned in colorful costumes carrying banners aplenty and even showcasing impressive floats. The parade features music performances and energetic dancing throughout its route until it reaches its grand finale at Northernhay Gardens.

Northernhay Gardens serves as the hub for all things Pride related. It hosts a multitude of activities including a stage with live music acts and entertainment options galore. Additionally there are areas dedicated to providing information about lgbtq+Q+ communities as well as food vendors offering delicious treats. Families are welcome too with a designated area specifically catered to their needs while another section focuses on health and wellbeing matters. From engaging workshops and enlightening panel discussions to captivating drag performances and lively dance parties. There's something for everyone, at Exeter Pride!Exeter Pride is. Operated by a passionate group of volunteers with the backing of local businesses, community organizations and individual contributions. While attending the event is free of charge we appreciate any donations to assist in covering the expenses associated with hosting the event and supporting the efforts of the Exeter Pride committee.
