Missoula, Montana, is a vibrant hub of lgbtq+Q+ pride and celebration. The city hosts a unique event titled "Pride and Determination: 24 hours of queer joy," which is a community event in support of Montana Representative Zooey Zephyr1. Montana Pride, which has its roots in Helena from 1993, commemorates the bravery of the community members who faced protests and hostility during the first Pride in Montana2. In 2023, Montana Pride celebrated its 30th anniversary from July 30th to August 6th in Helena2. One of the highlights of this celebration was the 2023 Montana Pride Parade, which took place on Last Chance Gulch, starting from Neill Avenue and culminating at Anchor Park near the Lewis & Clark County Library3. The Center, Western Montana's lgbtq+Q+ Community Center located in Missoula, serves as an affirming space for all sexual orientations and gender identities. It empowers the community through education, advocacy, and collaborative networking, aiming to be the voice for the lgbtq+Q+ community and allies in Western Montana.
