Portland Pride is a celebration that honors and supports the lgbtq+Q+ community in Portland, Oregon. It occurs during the month of June. Is organized by Pride Northwest, a non profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting lgbtq+Q+ individuals in the Pacific Northwest region.
The festivities of Portland Pride extend over a weekend. Encompass a diverse range of events. These include the Portland Pride Parade, which occurs on a Sunday in June. The parade showcases groups and organizations including local businesses, non profits lgbtq+Q+ community groups and allies. It follows a route through downtown Portland before culminating at the Waterfront Festival site.
The Portland Pride Waterfront Festival serves as another highlight of the event. Taking place at Tom McCall Waterfront Park along the Willamette River this festival spans across two days. Attendees can enjoy music performances captivating drag shows, delectable food vendors, as well as informational booths representing lgbtq+Q+ organizations and local businesses.
By hosting these activities and celebrations Portland Pride aims to promote visibility, foster understanding encourage acceptance within society for the lgbtq+Q+ community while also providing an inclusive space, for joyful connection.

In addition, the festival attracts thousands of visitors to Portland each year, bringing significant revenue to the local lgbtq+Q+ business community and to the city, as a whole. lgbtq+Q+ community members travel here from all over the Pacific Northwest to celebrate themselves and each other, in what is often the only safe and open environment that they may experience for the year. Pride Northwest is particularly committed to providing the Pride celebration, in order to create a safe and celebratory environment for our young people.
