Life Ball Vienna, one of Europe's largest charity events, has been dedicated to raising funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS since its inception in 1993. The annual event, held in Vienna,  Austria, combines glamour, fashion, and entertainment, making it a unique and unforgetable experience for all attendees.

The Life Ball takes place at the iconic Vienna City Hall (Rathaus), which is transformed into a vibrant and colorful backdrop for the event. Founded by Gery Keszler and Torgom Petrosian, the Life Ball has grown significantly over the years, attracting celebrities, designers, and artists from around the world.

Each year, the Life Ball has a different theme, which inspires the elaborate costumes, decorations, and performances. Past themes have included "The Sound of Music," "Garden of Earthly Delights," and "The Circus." Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costumes that align with the theme, making for an extravagant and visually stunning experience.

The event is known for its spectacular opening ceremony, which features a variety of performances, including musical acts, dance numbers, and fashion shows. International artists and celebrities have graced the stage at the Life Ball, such as Elton John, Kylie Minogue, and Conchita Wurst. In addition to the performances, there is a live auction with luxury items and unique experiences up for bidding, all in the name of charity.

The Life Ball has raised millions of euros for HIV/AIDS projects over the years. Proceeds from the event are distributed to various national and international organizations, such as amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research), the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), and AIDS LIFE, which is an Austrian non-profit organization that focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention, awareness, and support.

The event has garnered international attention for its unique blend of entertainment, fashion, and philanthropy, leading to numerous awards and recognitions.  In 2007, the Life Ball was awarded the "Europäischer Kulturpreis" ( European Culture Award ) for its commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS and its innovative approach to raising awareness.

To attend the Life Ball, guests must purchase tickets in advance, which can be quite competitive due to the high demand and limited availability. Ticket prices vary depending on the package chosen, with some options including access to the opening ceremony, after-party, and VIP areas.
