MSC Leather Pride Hamburg is one of the most distinctive events on the German fetish calendar. Organised by the Motor Sports Club (MSC) Hamburg e.V., a leather and fetish association founded in 1973, the event brings together leather enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond. For decades the club has been an integral part of Hamburg’s queer scene, promoting a welcoming community for leather and fetish men and supporting causes such as HIV prevention and social welfare. Although the event has changed names and formats over the years, its core mission remains the same: to celebrate leather culture, promote diversity and provide a safe space for people of all identities to come together.
For 2025 the organisers are planning a full weekend programme from Thursday 31 July to Sunday 3 August 2025, coinciding with Hamburg Pride week. According to the official schedule, the weekend begins on Thursday with the Pride DOM Stroll at 15:00. Participants meet at the Feldstraße station on the U3 line and take a relaxed walk through the fairground to socialise and get to know each other. Later that day there is usually an informal meet‑up at one of the city’s leather bars, giving newcomers a chance to find their feet and catch up with friends.
Friday is packed with activities. At 15:30 the MSC hosts a Harbour Cruise on the River Elbe, departing from Hohe Brücke 2. This two‑hour tour offers a unique look at Hamburg’s harbour and skyline while guests mingle on deck over drinks. Afterwards participants head to the Leather & Fetish Dinner at Ristorante Opera on Valentinskamp at 19:30. The dinner has become a central part of the weekend, giving visitors a more formal setting to socialise, show off their finest leather gear and enjoy gourmet cuisine. Later in the evening the S.L.U.T. Club, Hamburg’s largest fetish bar, hosts a party from 22:00. The highlight of the night is the Mr Leather Hamburg competition, during which contestants present themselves on stage, talk about their commitment to the community and answer questions from the jury and audience. The winner acts as an ambassador for the local scene throughout the year. The party continues until the early hours, and the venue’s dark rooms and dance floors provide something for everyone.
Saturday is the main focus of MSC Leather Pride Hamburg. In the morning many visitors join the Leather & Fetish Pride March, a demonstration that takes place as part of Hamburg Pride. For 2025 the march is scheduled for Saturday 2 August and will follow a new route starting at Mundsburger Damm in the eastern part of the city. Leather men, pups, rubber enthusiasts and allies parade through the streets wearing their favourite gear and flying flags to promote visibility and equality. The march feeds into the main CSD (Christopher Street Day) demonstration later in the day.
After a short break the crowd heads to KinkFusion, the rebranded main party that replaces the traditional Ledertreffen ball. KinkFusion takes place in the monumental Uebel & Gefährlich bunker in St Pauli, a 1940s air‑raid shelter converted into a nightclub. With two dance floors, a tower room and a lounge, the club can accommodate around 1,000 guests, ensuring plenty of space to dance, cruise or relax. DJs from across Europe spin techno, house and classic tunes while live acts and fetish shows keep the energy high. The venue’s thick concrete walls muffle the noise so the party can last late into the night. Many visitors describe KinkFusion as the highlight of the weekend – a wild, uninhibited celebration of leather culture and community.
Sunday brings a slower pace. Brunch on board the MS Stubnitz, a former refrigeration ship moored in the harbour, serves as the official Farewell Brunch. Guests enjoy regional delicacies while sharing stories and exchanging contacts. For those who have not had enough, the S.L.U.T. Club hosts a final gathering on Sunday afternoon. The farewell events emphasise the inclusive and friendly atmosphere of the weekend; many attendees form long‑lasting friendships and plan their return for the following year before they have even left.
Beyond the main events, MSC Leather Pride Hamburg offers a wide variety of informal activities. Leather fans gather in bars such as Tom’s Saloon and the Eagle for after parties, while some attendees explore Hamburg’s cultural attractions, museums and parks. Visitors often stay in the St Georg district, home to many gay venues and within walking distance of the main sites. The organisers emphasise that all fetishes are welcome, from leather and latex to sportswear and pups; there is no dress code during the day but fetish attire is encouraged at the evening events. Security and awareness teams are on hand to ensure everyone feels safe.
By aligning with Hamburg Pride and offering an extended weekend programme, MSC Leather Pride Hamburg 2025 promises to be one of the most exciting fetish events of the year. Whether you are a long‑time leatherman, new to the scene or simply curious about fetish culture, the event offers the perfect opportunity to meet like‑minded people, dance until dawn and support a community that values authenticity and respect. With its mix of social outings, cultural activities and spectacular parties, this unique weekend continues to strengthen Hamburg’s reputation as a welcoming and vibrant destination for lgbtq+Q+ travellers. Book your accommodation early, pack your favourite gear and get ready to celebrate leather pride in one of Europe’s most dynamic cities.
