Thessaloniki Gay Pride is an event held in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece. It serves as a celebration of the lgbtq+Q+ community. Works towards promoting awareness and acceptance of diversity.

The inaugural Thessaloniki Gay Pride took place in 2002 and over time it has evolved into one of the pride events, in Greece. People from parts of the country and beyond come together to participate in this event, which usually occurs in June coinciding with lgbtq+Q+ Pride Month worldwide.

The highlight of Thessaloniki Gay Pride is the parade that traditionally takes place on a Saturday afternoon. Starting at the White Tower a known landmark in the city the parade winds its way through Thessalonikis streets before culminating at Aristotle Square.

During this parade participants proudly march along the streets while waving rainbow flags displaying signs and chanting slogans that endorse lgbtq+Q+ rights. The atmosphere is filled with celebrations accompanied by music and dancing that further amplify the spirit.

Thessaloniki Pride holds significance as it aims to usher in an era, for the local Pride movement while fostering feelings of freedom and hope within the lgbtq+Q community.
The Thessaloniki Pride organizing committee has hopes that this significant event will mark a moment for Greece and its neighboring countries in terms of improving the lives of countless lgbtq+Q individuals, within the local community. With this goal, in mind the committee is dedicated to ensuring a Pride celebration that prioritizes safety, engagement and of course an atmosphere!
