Queerburners invites you to an off-grid escape to the East Park Reservoir, a hidden gem in the foothills of the Mendocino National Forest. Dust off your camping gear for a casual weekend getaway with friends, new and old. The Ten Principles will guide our intentions and behaviors. In alignment with the greater Burning Man community, we endeavor explicitly to be inclusive, sustainable, and connected.

Everyone will be responsible for their own food, shelter, and transportation*. Feel free to bring your special dish or trademark treat to share. Or recreate a theme camp with all the blinky lights or colored flags or set up your own cocktail bar. You can pitch your tent solo on a low, secluded bluff overlooking the reservoir or erect a small village at the edge of the crystal blue water. With plenty of space to spread out, our aim is to relax and reconnect while we have fun and frolic. The vibe is mindful, easy, and chill. Don't forget to bring your playa magic!

    4. Join a camp; Community is at the heart of Queerburners so consider joining a camp to connect with lgbtq+Q+ Burners. Camps come in sizes. Have varying focuses but many offer amenities such as food, shade and communal spaces where you can relax and socialize.

    5. Explore the art; Burning Man is renowned for its art installations. Take some time to wander around the playa (the desert space). Appreciate the incredible creativity, on display.

    6. Feel free to get involved as many of the installations are interactive!

    7. Make sure to join in on the events; Queerburners organizes a range of activities throughout the week from dance parties and performances, to workshops. Take a look at the schedule. Make plans to attend an events to fully immerse yourself in the community.

    8. Respect the guiding principles; Burning Man operates based on principles like self expression, communal effort and leaving no trace. It's essential to honor these principles and do your part in keeping Black Rock City clean and safe.

    9. Prioritize self care; With the heat, dust and crowds at Queerburners it's crucial to take care of yourself. Stay hydrated wear shoes and take breaks whenever necessary.
