Hotspot Description:
Period B&B just a short crawl from gay Schöneberg
An eight-room hotel up on the first floor (US = second floor) of an early-20th-century building, converted from an apartment space to a hotel in the 1920s. The hotel is neither slick nor dull, marked instead by a character, olde-worlde-ness and attention to detail that has attracted musicians, artists and writers since its early days. This is a budget-friendly option, reflected in the fact that some of the rooms do not have private bathrooms. Six doubles and two singles. The location is excellent, being a short walk from not only the gay-gay-gay Fuggerstraße (bars and shops) but also department store KaDeWe and other signature Berlin consumer destinations. Also seconds away from U-Bahn Augsburger Straße, which is just two stops from Nollendorfplatz (the most prominent corner of Schöneberg's gay ghetto).
