Sunderland Pride is a celebration held in the city of Sunderland located in North East England. It is an event that aims to honor and support the lgbtq+Q+ community while promoting acceptance and equality. Typically scheduled during June or July coinciding with Pride Month festivities this event brings together people, from backgrounds.
The festivities kick off with a parade starting from Park Lane in the heart of the city. The parade winds its way to Sunniside Gardens, where the festival site is set up. There will be 12 free events in total across the city at venues such as Arts Centre Washington, Mecca Bingo and Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, ranging from talks and workshops and a family picnic to a Pride in the City concert with four stages across the city centre and Pride in Sunderland march.
